Ordination to Diaconate at Port Macquarie

James Francis Matthew McQueen Foster was ordained a Deacon on Friday 8th July at 7pm in St Agnes Catholic Church, by his Lordship, Bishop Geoffrey Jarrett D.D.,Bishop of Lismore.
36 priest, deacons and seminarians, along with over 400 St Agnes Parishioners and many who had travelled from Panania and other parts of NSW and QLD attended.
The singing by the choir from St Agnes parish was organised by Robyn Ryan OAM and Jenni Searson. Cantors were Luke Wright, Magda Batson, Laurice Dickson, Kristin Nocelli and Peter Murphy from Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie parishes.
Alice and Alan McQueen presented James with his Dalmatic and Deacon Graeme Davis assisted him to vest.
The Litany was sung by the cantors with the congregation responding.
Fr Tony Percy STD, rector of the Good Shepherd Seminary assisted Bishop Jarrett.
After the ordination, the congregation and guests were treated to supper in the parish hall.
