Police are investigating a suspicious church fire at Glenreagh on Sunday morning 27th May.
Fire fighters arrived just after 5am to find the St Paul’s Catholic Church in Boundary Street fully engulfed in flames.
Glenreagh Rural Fire Service were assisted by Hazmat and Fire And Rescue NSW crews from Coffs Harbour.
A crime scene was established, which is being examined by forensic specialists.
The damaged foundation stone was put in place on the 1st February 1931. The church was blessed and opened on the 31st May 1931.
Detectives continue with inquiries into the incident, however at this stage the blaze is being treated as suspicious.
