Death of Father Edward (Ned) Crowley

Father Edward (Ned) Crowley has died at Vincent Court, Kempsey on May 1st Father Ned was born 15 May, 1927 in Co. Kilkenny Ireland. He was ordained to the priesthood on 3 June 1951 at St Kieran’s  College, Kilkenny, and came to the Diocese of Lismore shortly thereafter.

Over the 64 years of his priesthood, Father Ned served in the parishes of Coraki, Lismore, Murwillumbah, Cowper, Bowraville, South Grafton, Tweed Heads, Ballina, Dorrigo, Smithtown and Nambucca Heads. He was also chaplain (part-time) to the 41st Byron Scottish Regiment. He retired to Kempsey on 14 January, 1992 and has been living at Vincent Court, Kempsey these past years.

The Funeral Mass for Fr Edward Crowley will be held on Monday 11th May, 2015 at All Saints Catholic Church
