Announcement of Clergy Appointments and Retirements

Bishop of the Diocese, Most Reverend Geoffrey Jarrett, has announced the following appointments to the newly constituted Parishes and retirements.
 
Alstonville, from the territories of the former parishes of Alstonville and Wardell: Revd Fr Max Gow.
 
Casino, from the territories of the former parishes of Casino and
Mallanganee: Revd Fr Peter Slack, VG.
 
The Clarence Valley, from the territories of the former parishes of Grafton,
South Grafton and Cowper: Revd Fr James Griffin.
 
The Macleay Valley, from the territories of the former parishes of Kempsey and Smithtown: Revd Fr Paul Gooley, VF.
Each appointment is for a term of six years, commencing on 15 August,
2013, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
 
Revd Fr Peter Wood is appointed Assistant Priest in the Parish of the Clarence Valley, and Revd Mr Joseph Holloway as resident transitional Deacon in the Parish of the Macleay Valley, from the same date and without term.
 
Retirements:
Revd Fr Rex Hackett has entered retirement from his last appointment in Grafton.
Revd Fr John Darbyshire from his last appointment in Tweed
Heads.
